I am currently a Graduate Research Assistant and PhD Candidate in the Lifelong Kindergarten group at MIT Media Lab. Here, I design healing socio-digital interventions with and for youth who have experienced developmental trauma, with a particular emphasis on improving care for young adults who have experienced foster care. My methodologies draw on therapeutic best practices, trauma-informed and healing centered frameworks, and collaborative design principles, prioritizing the perspectives, creativity, and agency of young people who need the most support. Following these practices has led to my current focus, designing digital spaces for youth to creatively process and express complex emotional experiences and build positive connections with others, online and offline.
Prior to joining the Media Lab, I spent 3 years designing technology to improve well-being in non-profit, academic, and healthcare settings. Before this, I completed my BA in Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania.
